Prayer - Adult Ministries
The Prayer Vision of First Baptist is to equip every member to walk in intimacy with God, to intercede for individual needs, and to saturate every ministry with prayer as these ministries carry out the purpose of the church.
Powersource
This is our Wednesday night prayer service which meets in the Main Worship Center. The service starts at 6:30pm and concludes at 7:45pm. Each week has a different theme. Most weeks the service includes songs, praises, prayer for the heavy-hearted, teaching time, and time for prayer.
Lighthouses of Prayer
Your home can be a Lighthouse in your neighborhood. Lighthouses of prayer are individuals or families who will pray, care, and share the gospel with their neighbors. For more information concerning this ministry, contact Kathy Patton at 947-9074.
24-Hour Intercessory Prayer
The prayer room, located at the church, intercedes for a variety of needs, long-term as well as short-term. If you have a prayer need, you may call the prayer line at 947-7729.
Watchman Prayer Ministry
This prayer ministry prays for our staff and missionaries. EAch month a packet of information is complied and mailed to you so that you can pray at home at your designated day and hour. For more information, contact Kathy Patton at 947-0614.
Mission Prayer Partner
Each mission team member is asked to secure at least 5 prayer partners who will pray for them before they leave, while on site, and when they return home. The prayer partners are given prayer requests from the team member, so they know how to best pray for them. Mission Prayer Cards are available for each mission team so that everyone who wants to pray will have a reminder.
National Day of Prayer
Each year on the first Thursday in May, our church doors are open for people to come in at their convenience to pray for our president, nation, and revival. Guidelines are available.
Hannah's Hope
Hannah's Hope is a infertility prayer and support group. Women in various stages and treatments for childlessness come for encouragement, fellowship, and to bring their requests to God. Whether secondary or primary infertility, the goal is the same, to glorify God during this trying circumstance. For more information contact Alison Kirby at 938-7575.
Moms In Touch
Who will pray for your children? Moms In Touch is a group of mothers who meet once a week for one hour to intercede on behalf of their children in school or college. To stand in the gap for them through prayer is our highest calling. If you would be interested in being part of this praying support group, we meet each MOnday when school is in session at 8:30am at First Baptist Church in Room 217. Youth Prayer Breakfast
Our youth meet each Monday morning when school is in session at 7:00am in the Fellowship Hall.
