The Counseling and Support Group Ministry of First Baptist Church exists to provide Biblical guidance and encouragement for individuals facing times of inevitable trials. The Bible is clear about the fact that each individual will experience physical and/or emotional suffering at some point in life. (“Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you.” 1 Peter 4:12) We believe God’s desire is for all people to enter into a relationship with Him. A relationship where they are totally surrendered to His will, and completely dependent upon Christ as He lives His life through them. God wants us to live in victory rather than defeat. The lay-counselors and support group leaders are First Baptist members who have been trained to provide guidance toward this life of dependence on Christ, which we call The Exchanged Life.
We would count it a great joy and privilege to serve you in any way through our Counseling and Support Group Ministry. Please feel free to contact us if yo u have questions or need additional information or assistance. We look forward to sharing with you the wonderful news about The Exchanged Life God has made available to You! There is no financial obligation to participate in any of these ministries, and you do not have to be a member of FBC to receive counseling.
