Senior Adult Church Access – We realize that as we grow older, it is harder to get around, and we know with a church our size that some people worry they will not be able to navigate our building very well. We have tried to make it as convenient as possible for our senior members and visitors. We offer parking close to the sanctuary for our seniors. The senior Lifegroup classes are close to the sanctuary as well.
Monthly Meeting – Senior Adult meetings are held the third Tuesday of every month at 10:30am. The meetings include a time of devotion, special programs, lunch and fellowship. Please see the newsletter for any updates or changes.
JOY Singers – meet on the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month at 9:30am. We visit area nursing homes to sing for and minister to other senior adults. We also sing periodically in the evening worship services.
Mission Trips – The Senior Adults at First Baptist go on three or four mission trips each year. They are primarily construction trips. Our seniors enjoy going to Children’s Christian camps to help maintain their facilities.
Nursing Home/Shut-in Visitation – Our seniors are very active in visiting those in nursing homes and our shut-ins seeking to encourage and uplift them. This ministry is led by Glinda Arnold.
