Praise Team

Each year auditions are held for the Praise team. These auditions are to enhance the worship experience at First Baptist Powell. A packet of audition materials is provided here for you to review: (Each of these items are available on a separate page)
Audition Information Sheet –This sheet provides the basic expectations and requirements of the Praise Team. We want to be straight-forward in communicating the gifts, graces, and commitment level we are seeking in Praise Team members.
Praise Team Handbook- Because of the vital importance of worship, we take our ministry seriously, and the mission statement in our handbook reflects that commitment. Please review this statement if you are prayerfully considering to audition.
Pre-Audition Form- A major component of the audition is the completion of the pre-audition form. This form must be submitted to the music office, or via email to stephenburnett@fbcmail.org prior to auditioning. Auditions are usually held each year in January.
The audition process will involve three components: the vocal audition, the written responses to the questions on the Pre-Audition Form, and a short conversation with our audition panel. Please come prepared to sing a hymn or praise song a capella during your audition time; or you can bring your own accompaniment music (CD track). You will also be asked to sing a simple selection that will be provided at the audition.
The audition panel will be from outside FBC-Powell and will consist of people who have a passion for worship. These individuals will evaluate the auditions by considering the following: musical ability, stage presence, responses to written questions, and responses to audition conversation questions.
Audition dates and times will be confirmed . Following the auditions, I will email everyone the results.
