God has graciously granted First Baptist the awesome privilege of carrying the gospel to the nations of the world. We have before us a tremendous opportunity to bring God glory as we go to places like East and West Africa, Kenya, East Asia, Thailand, India, South America, Baltimore, and East Tennessee.

Therefore, we will seek to follow Christ as He leads us into areas of His world where we can carry the gospel for the purpose of planting churches, and strengthening existing ones.

Steps to Mission Involvement

• Team members must be a member of First Baptist; exceptions may be made by the Great Commission Leadership Team.
• Team members must submit a completed Application Packet and deposit prior to being accepted to the team. Application packets are available at the Missions Mezzanine or online at fbcpowell.org.
• TELL (Disciple-making training) is required for all adult mission trips.
• Missions BootCamp or participation in an adult trip between 2008 and 2010.
• Team members must faithfully attend all training meetings.
• Team members are expected to complete payment for their portion of the expenses prior to departure, and can not owe a balance on any previous trip.
• Participant is required to obtain their own passport. A valid passport with 9 months validity is required for all international trips.
• MAPS (Mission Access Points) will be located in the Welcome Center well in advance of each mission effort. Members are urged to stop by the MAPS table for information concerning information for mission trips.
